INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF PRODUCTIVE SCHOOLS

	Youth Meeting of INEPS in Aarhus From 4th to 11th of May 1996, the 2nd INEP's Youth Meeting was held in Aarhus, Denmark, organized by the Aarhus Production School. The meeting has been held once in Vilafranca (Catalonia, Spain) in 1994. It was definitely a success, especially for the communication stablished among the youngsters from several countries, for whom this was a new experience. The leaders who accompany the youngsters for practical reasons, brought back to their organizations with new views on teaching and guidance. This year the theme was Guidance: the experiences and visions of young people. The initiative was taken by the network of schools, on the basis of a demand from several school councils. Therefore, the schools helped the pupils with the overall management of the arrangement. The output was determined by their effort alone. In other words, the setting being travelling, workshops, accomodation, etc. was provided; the rest was up to them. There was a follow up on this project. First of all it was decisive for a future to involve pupils in our network of schools. Most projects in the network deal with guidance. If the development of transnational guidance methods shall be succesful, the young people who use the system must be heard. Doing that in an inspiring forum where the youngsters learn the conditions of other countries will help them to express their expectations. In most EU exchange programmes there is a demand for this exchange to be recognized as part of young people education -that it will be part of their curriculum.
